Winzerkeller in Ingelheim

The ambience is appealing and the service attentive. I was very disappointed with the food. I had ordered a "Wiener Art" schnitzel with a champion cream sauce. I got a kind of ready-made schnitzel, dry and tasting like nothing, with a small carafe of Champions and cream, with "red and white" fries, so actually a children's meal. See pictures. I almost completely let go of the food, with an appropriate comment. But there was no reaction from the kitchen. You'd rather ducked away. The two stars are only available for dessert and cocktail. The rest cannot be assessed. To sum up: the food is way too expensive and not worth the money. Prices as for "Villa Kennedy" Quality as in the furniture store canteen.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, modern ambience. Unfortunately we didn't like the food that much, but that's also a matter of taste. Salad, fries, wine and cocktails were very good. The access is barrier-free, there is a disabled toilet in the basement, which can be reached with an elevator.

Years later I saw the redesigned wine cooperative / wine cellar again. . Well done! Food and wine very good!

Air upward...... That probably describes the visit to the new wine cellar in Ingelheim quite well. "You don't treat yourself to anything else" was the motto of the evening with a 250 gr. Rump steak with three types of beans, dried tomatoes and potato ragout for an impressive € 32. Both were ordered in English, it came rather medium rare, but well, that was just fine. There was also nothing wrong with the meat, but I would have expected more for the high price. The taste and the amount of the side dishes was okay, but, due to the high price, was only average. So that you don't get me wrong: For the price of 32, - € without (!) Side salad, which comes with another 4.90 €, I expect really high culinary skills and an exceptional meal. Other kitchens (also in Ingelheim) can do that much better! The homemade lemonade was very tasty and I liked it. It is 4.90 € and is available in different flavors. The staff was average, it was better to hang out with smartphones and friends at the counter in the background. Again, I would like to point out that the service corresponds to a good location, but not to a high-priced location like here. That may seem like grumbling at a high level for some visitors, but I have the claim that the entrepreneur / managing director / owner himself has to make very high demands on himself and his team in order to clearly justify the high price for himself and his customers , Then that fits for me and I like to spend a lot / good money on (very) good cuisine. So the visit ended with a final bill of just under € 50 for me. Unfortunately, the whole thing did not work according to the price, the concept here seems to be clearly high-priced, but the implementation lacks standards in this area. The future will show how Ingelheim will respond. I don't think the inflow will take place to the extent that one wishes. However, this is only my own opinion and you will see how it goes on. I wish the team all the best for the future and hope that everything will work out even better. When I googled the location, I was amazed to find that there are 3 different opening times on 3 different websites to the wine cellar. You were amazed and nobody had noticed this before. I took pictures of it and passed it on via the service before dinner. Here, too, I was amazed at how something is ignored and noticed and changed as quickly as possible, since we would be back to the standard. I wondered why there was so little going on from early hours (7 - 8 p.m.) and suspected that this could also be due to the opening times, since many guests are now asking for them online. Fortunately, the times have now been adjusted on the homepages. But be careful: Google itself still shows wrong opening times (until 3 or 6 p.m.)! Weeks later I was there again to try the coffee, because I noticed the high-quality, shiny chrome portafilter machine in the counter area. I took the coffee indoors. Unfortunately, this did not meet my (too high?) ​​Expectations at all. Much too strong and bitter, hardly any crema, a shame! The art of operating a portafilter machine professionally does not seem to have arrived in Ingelheim yet, except for the Eis Café La Gondola at the train station, nobody really understands it yet, a tasty and quite strong, but not (ver) bitter (t) en coffee to serve. Anyone who can give me a tip is always welcome. Unfortunately, as is so often the case, the opportunity for a coffee break for connoisseurs in Ingelheim (for me) was once again superfluous. About the pictures: Unfortunately, the order is not the order I chose. Some pictures show the still closed area of ​​the basement, these are still under construction.

They have a very interesting menu and the restaurant is beautiful.I look forward to dining there again.
